  • You must already have a new blogger account, or have migrated from old blogger to new one.
  • You must already downloaded the template text from this site
  • You have to download/back-up your existing layout beforehand, it will become important as it stores most of your previous collection of link, javascript etc
  • To apply the template, go to Template section - Edit HTML
  • You must ticked the Expand Widget Templates , click Browse, then point to the new template file (a txt or xml), then click Upload
If there is a warning about widgets to be deleted, just click Confirm & Save, do not worry, you can add widgets later on. As many as you want.

  • You are now officially use the template from retrospectext
  • To add widgets, now go to Page Elements tab
  • First, edit the Header. Click the edit text on the bottom-right corner of the widget
  • A new window will appear, now fill in your Blog Title and description, then click Save Changes.

  • Now, we add a new widget to the right-side column / menubar
  • Click Add a Page Element text right at the top of right side-bar / column
  • Choose the element that you want, let say, we choose the Link List
  • Fill in the Title, URL and Name of your first link, click add link, and repeat it until all your links are listed

  • You can order your link alphabetically, just choose the option from the drop down list
  • After finished it, click Save Changes
  • Keep on adding widgets to other layout part.
  • If the widget arrangement is a bit ackward, or strange, refresh your browser’s page.
  • If you want to move a widget, just drag n drop it by clicking the handle of the widget.
  • If you think it is enough, click save button on the top of the page.
  • Your result –maybe- will look like this. Remember, you can add or remove any widget that you want.
  • If there is a widget that you want to remove, just click edit at the widget box that you want to remove and then choose Remove page elements.

  • Remember, you have to put a link to my site at http://retrospectext.blogspot.com/ in your footer ;)
